Test your knowledge and understanding of design principles by creating an educational service.
Design Scenario
As a product designer at an educational service, you’re tasked with developing the design principles as the company grows its market presence and brand. These principles will guide decision-making, promote consistency, and reduce unproductive debates. Ensure the design principles are distinct from usability guidelines, heuristics, or visual design principles, although some overlap may exist.
Design Task
Your design task is to complete the following:
- Select an educational platform and the device type for your design.
- Identify the core values of the educational service of your choice.
- Formulate 4-5 user-centered design principles that address common conflicts in your team.
- Include examples of do’s and dont’s.
- Explain how these design principles will serve as a guide for decision-making.
- Bonus points for showing how the principles have been applied in actual design scenarios.🏆
Instructions
Read the instructions to ensure your submission receives maximum visibility.
- You can edit your project at any time.
- Remember to share your submission with your community. The more reviews and views it receives, the quicker it will be seen by Uxcel Mentors.
- After submitting your project, consider reviewing others’ projects. This can enhance your project’s discoverability.
- Ensure you only submit your own work.
Evaluation criteria
Your project will be evaluated using the following criteria:
- Credibility — How accurate is work representation and how reliable are the data collected from the target user group?
- Detail — How detailed is the work to provide a clear picture of the target audience?
- Clarity — Does the copy communicate the intended message clearly and effectively?
- Presentation — How effectively is the work presented, including the templates provided, the formatting of the copy, the links shared, and the explanation of the design rationale?
